Ironically, I am now in search of work, after getting let go by my company. So, I wish you all good luck as I know traffic to this site has increased recently due to big layoffs from a number of companies. It will all be fine and we'll all be better off in the long run...

Well, at least with Pfizer. Good luck to all while you wait to find out your fate. Remember that it will be OK either way. There are still companies hiring and if you don't get cut, there will be opportunities in the new Pfizer.

More job cuts announced. I've heard BMS, Glaxo, Pfizer, Merck, Jazz, and many other companies. But who's hiring? There are still jobs to be had but fewer companies hiring for fewer open spots. What other industries are you considering if you've been let go (or if you're waiting to find out). Are you going to stay in the pharma/biotech/med device industry?

If you have really bad credit, it might be a concern since most times you'll get a business credit card. However, I've really never known someone to fail to get hired due to their credit check. Good luck!

I know it's been a few months since I posted anything new. I plan on getting back on track, especially with all the recent layoffs. I'm aware of GSK, King, Sepracor, Novartis, Sanofi, Solvay either having layoffs or hiring freeze type periods. There are also companies doing a lot of hiring. I used to be a DM for Pfizer. In the middle of interviews, I would ask which animal would win a fight-a grizzly bear or a male lion? The question was out of left field but I wanted to see if the candidates could think on their feet and come up with some logical argument. There was no right or wrong answer. But it put some candidates, especially young women in a huge fluster.
